The minimum 120,000-therm annual pool requirement applies to the Core Transport Agent’s combined pool; it is not an individual small-business usage threshold. Its guidance also describes a minimum 12-month customer commitment.

Use the San Jose bill in the right calculator
For an account on PG&E, copy billed consumption, billing dates and the tariff’s energy unit before entering a rate. A total utility bill divided by volume mixes supply with customer, delivery and other charges; it is not automatically a comparable commodity price.

- Compare two flat-rate supply offers with account fees: enter matching annual therms and complete recurring supplier fees. Keep retained utility charges outside both offers consistently.
- Build a monthly gas budget: use this when winter volume or monthly prices vary. Annual average prices can conceal different monthly exposure.
- Plan contract notice and renewal dates: enter the written agreement’s notice and lead times; confirm enrollment timing with the actual distributor.
